Back working on the bike... First, my son tightening the fuel hose to the petcocks....if they leak it's his fault...
Sold all of what is in this pic for $650 plus shipping...not to bad! More to spend now!
Started working on the rear loop...decided to make it bolt on...I don't know why? Just did...maybe because I can take it off to paint it? Anyway, this is how it is turning out... worked perfectly.
Cut the frame and welded nuts into the frame so the rear loop would have something to bolt to...
Battery under the seat...used the foam that the battery came in to create a holder...will weld a plate under the battery and also I think I am just going to zip tie the battery to the frame...it is super light (1.7 lbs) so that should work...I am going to leave an opening under the seat so I can access the battery
Got some old galvanized metal from my dad that was an old chicken feed bin...cut a plate for a rear fender...small plate for under the battery and also a seat pan....
Bought some marine grade black starboard for the seat pan...cut and shaped it with the grinder...black plastic got all over the garage...lesson learned do it outside!
Welding in the galvanized metal on the rear loop...
Not too bad...now I just need to grind the welds down and make it pretty.
